A leading financial services organisation is looking for a Finance Analyst to join its London-based Finance team. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to provide high-quality financial analysis and modelling to support strategic priorities, transformation initiatives and key business decisions.

The Role

You will play a key role in bringing financial structure and clarity to complex business challenges, developing robust financial models, business cases and scenario analysis to support senior management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial models, business cases, scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to assess strategic and inorganic opportunities.
• Quantify financial impacts and provide analysis to support key business decisions.
• Provide financial analysis and modelling across transformation programmes, including assessing costs, savings and overall financial impact.
• Track financial performance against agreed business cases and transformation objectives.
• Identify variances against expected outcomes and quantify the resulting financial impact.
• Provide strategic and commercial analysis to evaluate opportunities and different business options.
• Partner with Finance and wider cross-functional stakeholders to validate and challenge assumptions.
• Translate complex financial and commercial information into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
• Deliver ad hoc analysis in response to emerging business requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and data-driven decision-making.

About You

• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience working with, structuring and cleansing data from multiple sources.
• Experience with data visualisation tools.
• Commercially minded, with the ability to identify key drivers of business performance.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and technical concepts to non-finance audiences.
• Experience supporting inorganic growth opportunities; M&A experience would be highly advantageous.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deliverables.
• Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving requirements.
• Strong attention to detail alongside an understanding of the wider commercial picture.
