My client are a well known independent Advisory firm looking to hire a Corporate Tax Manager into its growing national Tax team.

This is a broad role combining corporate tax advisory, compliance, client management and commercial exposure. It would suit someone who wants more ownership of their clients, access to varied advisory work and a clear route beyond Manager level.

The wider Tax team consists of around 55 people, including six Tax Partners, with specialists across Corporate Tax, VAT, R&D, International Tax and Tax Investigations.

The role

You will manage your own portfolio of entrepreneurial businesses, privately owned companies, larger corporates and international groups across sectors including technology, manufacturing and pharma.

Your work will include:

• Corporate reorganisations and restructuring
• Acquisitions and disposals
• Tax due diligence
• R&D tax
• Property taxation
• Enterprise Investment Schemes
• Corporate Interest Restriction
• UK and international corporate tax compliance
• Wider corporate tax planning and advisory work

You will work directly with business owners and senior stakeholders, identifying tax risks and opportunities and providing commercially focused advice.

Skillset

You should be ACA or equivalent and ideally CTA qualified, with strong Tax advisory experience.

You will need:

• Experience managing a portfolio of corporate tax clients
• Strong corporate tax advisory experience
• The technical ability to oversee complex compliance work
• Confidence dealing directly with clients and senior stakeholders
• An interest in developing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
