Settlements Manager

Location: Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £65,000

An established global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Settlements Manager to join the Transfer Agency Operations team in Manchester.

This is a senior, client facing opportunity for someone from a Transfer Agency, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Operations, Fund Administration background. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fund managers or institutional clients, rather than solely retail clients, alongside a strong understanding of dealing, settlements, servicing and trade related activity.

The Role

You will act as a senior point of contact for key clients, managing day-to-day relationships, service delivery and escalations across the Transfer Agency function. You'll work closely with operational teams and senior stakeholders to deliver a high-quality service while identifying opportunities to improve processes and client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day client interactions and escalations across Transfer Agency services.
• Act as a key point of contact for fund managers and institutional clients, building strong relationships.
• Manage and resolve complex client queries and operational issues.
• Apply your knowledge of dealing, settlements, servicing and trade processes to support effective service delivery.
• Develop strategies to improve client service, operational efficiency and overall client experience.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Operations and wider teams to streamline processes and deliver accurate, timely client reporting.
• Ensure services are delivered in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies and operational risk standards.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Proven experience in Transfer Agency, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Investment Operations, Fund Administration, Custody or Client Services.
• Experience working directly with fund managers or institutional clients.
• Strong understanding of dealing, settlements, servicing and trade-related processes.
• Proven experience managing client relationships, queries and escalations.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of operational risk, controls and regulatory requirements.
• A proactive approach to process improvement and enhancing client service.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline is desirable, although relevant industry experience will be considered.
