I am recruiting for a well known international advisory firm for an Assistant Manager to join their growing Funds Tax team, advising Private Equity, Hedge Fund and Credit Fund clients.

My client is very open to candidates from a range of Tax backgrounds and while existing Funds experience would be useful, it is not essential. Much more important is a genuine interest in the subject matter and a desire to develop within the Alternative Funds space as they are happy to coach and develop.

Please note that this role can sponsor Visas should this be required.

The role

• Preparing tax advice on a range of UK and international tax matters relevant to Alternative Funds
• Advising on UK corporation tax and partnership tax matters
• Undertaking technical research across legislation, case law and HMRC guidance
• Reviewing corporation tax and partnership tax returns
• Attending client meetings and taking an active role in technical discussions
• Building long term client relationships and developing a strong understanding of their businesses
• Working closely with colleagues across the UK and internationally
• Supporting business development activity, including client research, marketing initiatives, seminars and events

Skillset

• ACA, CA, CTA, solicitor qualified or internationally equivalent
• Experienced in UK corporate tax advisory and compliance
• Technically strong with a good level of UK corporation tax knowledge
• Comfortable communicating technical tax matters clearly to clients and colleagues
• Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritise effectively
• Motivated to develop a specialism in Alternative Funds Tax
• Keen to progress towards Manager level and beyond
